The Role

Pield Heath House School is looking for a friendly adaptable HLTA who is experienced in working with children / young people with severe and complex leaning needs across various key stages.

The aim of the HLTA is to provide phonics interventions across the whole school and cover class groups where needed to allow for effective teaching & learning to continue.

The successful candidate will work alongside subject leads, teachers and class tutors to work collaboratively to ensure appropriate differentiation and learning strategies are in place for all students.

Literacy Subject Lead

Literacy Subject Lead - Salary Range: MPS/UPS + SEN + TLR 2

We are seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Teacher/Leader who can provide positive and stimulating learning experiences for our students and lead the subject area of English/Literacy and be part of the school’s Middle Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will be effective in building and maintaining positive partnerships with families and the school community in addition to being able to work well as part of a team or autonomously.

Organisation skills and a highly structured approach will be key to supporting the ability to teach a range of subjects to students at their differing academic levels. The school provides a person-centred curriculum, adapted to each child and young person’s developmental and learning needs, offering a variety of educational programs designed to meet the needs of students with severe to complex learning needs, Autism, communication and sensory processing difficulties, and associated behaviours.

SEN Teacher

(Permanent) SEN Teacher - MPS/UPS (Outer London)

Finance Manager

Due to retirement, we are seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to manage and oversee the finance functions of the school. As Finance Manager, you will be focused on the day-to-day management of the school accounts, reconciliations all audit requirements and monitoring of large project spend in addition to ensuring compliance within procurement.

Key duties will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Responsibility for income and expenditure
  • Budgeting and forecasting

As Finance Manager, you will have a finance qualification or equivalent demonstrated ability and strong IT skills including the use of Finance related software. We are looking for a motivated, flexible and innovative Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist to join our Speech and Language Therapy department. The successful candidate will work with colleagues to promote the holistic development of independence and functional skills informed by the latest evidence-based practices and will be accountable for delivering a quality service. Our streams of provision focus on interventions that support difficulties with feeding, speech, language, social communication and developing Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) at universal, targeted and specialist levels.

You will work closely with teaching staff, helping to integrate therapy and learning objectives, as well as instructing and supporting teaching staff in delivering therapy programmes/groups and use of specialised equipment.

The Therapy Team is committed to embedding clinical interventions across all aspects of our students’ home and school routines, ensuring that our students are able to access their learning effectively. The successful candidate will receive support and clinical supervision from the Clinical Lead for Therapies.
