Ground work starts on Cycle Track – 1st April 2014

We are absolutely delighted that work has just begun on the creation of a cycle track and mobility training centre within the school grounds. A ground breaking ceremony was held today,1st April 2014, attended by several local councilors which marks the start of an estimated seven week construction period.

The all-weather cycle track will be available for use by other local SEN schools and also by the wider community.

The mobility training centre will be used for travel training and will include a road with bus access for students to learn about using public transport and there will be a bus stop, bus shelter, zebra crossing, dropped kerbs to practice wheelchair access and current road markings and signs for education purposes.
