Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills – an independent and impartial organization that reports directly to Parliament. Ofsted inspects and regulates services which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages.

Ofsted’s aim is to promote improvement and value for money in the services they inspect and regulate, so that children and young people, parents and carers, adult learners and employers benefit.

Diocese of Westminster Education Service – Section 48 Inspection Reports
The Diocesan Education Commission is appointed by the Archbishop and is responsible to him in all areas relating to education in schools and colleges set out in canon law and English law.

It liaises with schools and colleges mainly through the Director of Education and the staff of the Education Service and provides professional support for Catholic School and Colleges, Support for Head Teachers, Principals and Governing Bodies.
